There is one test that separates boiling waterproof plywood from everything else, and it is not subtle: IS 710 requires the board to sit submerged in boiling water for 72 hours and still hold its plies together. BWR grade under IS 303 is boiled in cycles of eight hours; MR grade never goes near boiling water at all. Baran takes a heavier monsoon than most of Rajasthan and the Hadoti belt holds that damp longer than the desert districts. On top of that sit the wet areas nobody photographs: school and hostel washrooms cleaned with buckets, mandi wash areas, canteen counters, and cooler platforms running four months a year. Those are the places a board fails first. Keto Marine Plywood is the BWP grade board in the Keto range, bonded with unextended phenol formaldehyde resin on a high density hardwood core, pressure treated against termite and borer, and pressed under high pressure and temperature.

Request a Sample BoardIS 710 submerges the board in boiling water for 72 hours and then tests whether the plies have separated. BWR grade under IS 303 faces three cycles of eight hours; MR grade is never boiled. That gap is the whole point of specifying BWP.
No fillers, no extenders. The resin is what survives the boil, and cheapening it with extenders is the single most common way a board sold as waterproof turns out not to be.
Preservative is pressure impregnated to the retention IS 710 requires, so termite, borer and fungal protection goes through the board rather than sitting on the surface where a saw cut removes it.
IS 710 sets a wet bending strength requirement, not just a dry one, so a shelf in a sink base or a wet area still carries what it is asked to carry after it has been soaked.
Washroom and wash area joinery, mandi wet areas, canteen counters and cooler platforms. Dry classroom, office and record storage furniture can stay on MR grade.
