Every other panel in a building sits still. A door does not. It swings, slams, gets leaned on, pushed with a foot and knocked by furniture, thousands of times across its life, and IS 2202 tests it accordingly: fifty to a hundred successive slams with no visible damage, twenty five shock blows on each end, a buckling test that allows no more than 5 mm of residual deformation, and an indentation limit of 0.2 mm. Those are not panel tests. Ahmedabad works a door harder than the specification sheet suggests, because the city runs at forty five degrees in May and the shutter sits in that heat all afternoon with an air conditioned room on the other side.
